For some reason all my photos and videos have disappeared? I have sync most of them onto my PC however I have not synced recent ones and I am gutted as they included videos and photo's of my baby taking her her first steps.
Also I am really frustrated that when I receive a photo by text, BBM or Watsapp I am unable to save the photo to my phone. It says 'GET IMAGE' and when I press on that icon it seems like it starts to download but never finishes downloading. I really need to know how I download these photos and save these to my phone? Please help and this is my first time on this site. Hi and Welcome to the Community.and apologies for the delayed reply!! Hopefully you have already resolved this.but just in case.
Where are you downloading the music files from. Your PC or the internet? What apps and from where?
Not all apps have been converted to the new OS 6 which the 9800 Torch uses. If any post helps you please click the below the post(s) that helped you.2. Please resolve your thread by marking the post 'Solution?'

Hello there, my blackberry torch which ive had for around 2 months now has just started to hang/freeze with the egg timer symbol being displayed. I have no extra apps on there other than the ones that came with the phone. I have a single music track on there for my ring tone but do have around 160 camera photos and some videos, but not too much. It hangs when i view my images or when i use the internet has anyone got any suggestions how i can fix this?

Blackberry protect does not run the full back up and denies the final 2% upload 2 and 3. The battery ran flat yesterday and when i turned it on again, it had self-deleted appworld and BBM I tried re-installing both, but appworld refuses to run (although it does download, i cannot access anything), and when i try downloading BBM i get an error message saying that the 'operating system' does not support it. I would appreciate any help, please. Thanks N Solved! Go to Solution.
I'd highly advise you to perform backup using the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your PC. Afterwards, you're going to want to wipe the device using BBSAK, and then subsequently reinstall the operating system to the BlackBerry. And restore your user data from the backup you've made. Dear Sir / Madam, My issue is regarding the video streaming. For reference: In computer browser when we watch video on youtube, if we pause the video is still being download in the background and we can watch it later or, we can view start or middle of it without downloading or streaming again. In torch 9800 browser: When paused the video is not download in the background.
After pausing when play is selected the streaming starts again. Its very time consuming as my provider 'Warid' only gives 'EDGE'. Is there any workaround. Regards, Jawad. Regards, Jawad. I had a problem with app world where whenever i tried to download an app, it would ask for my ID and then go straight to my profile instead of downloading.I now have a different problem: my torch won't accept my blackberry ID at all. It's not a problem with my ID, because i tried my ID on a friends blackberry and all worked fine.I've tried re-downloading app world several times, I've tried using different IDs, but nothing works. Is there a real problem or am i missing something simple? Hi and Welcome to the Community! Please clarify.there is no such thing as a 'Torch 2810'.

I've searched around but couldn't find an answer to this. I can play videos and music without issue on my phone (blackberry Torch) and also listen to mp3's via the hipserv IPAD application but when I try to play video's or music remotely on a PC via the mystora.com site it loads the play window and does nothing? My searches lead me to believe it is downloading the full video or mp3 before playing.
Is this true? Can I change it? I have tested this by leaving it for a long time but the video never seems to play. On my phone I can access the mobile version of the site and videos and audio play instantly with good quality.
It seems odd that I can't use this feature on a PC? I've used multiple browsers including IE and opera with no luck.
Hi and Welcome to the Community!Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness shows up, the first thing to try is a proper reboot: Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot - 5 minutes. BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero.
Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. If this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such.with a hard reboot being the best cure.Good luck!

Based on the other thread that you have created which you can access by going to this link, it seems that you're having difficulty in viewing the videos that you recorded using your camera. In addition to ZigZag3143's post, another MVP (considerateguy) also asked you some probing questions and also informed you that your issue usually indicates a missing video codec. Please note that codec is asoftware that is used to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or video. To learn more regarding this, please refer to this article. Furthermore, you can try running the Microsoft FixIt tool for codecs. Also, Media info will be able to identify any issues with missing or faulty codecs and whether it’s already installed in your computer or not.
You can get it at this link. Please get back to us if you need further assistance. Hi, I've a BlackBerry 9800. I'm continuously getting 'Download Failed' messages when I use my Browser to download any media files irrespective of file size. I've tried many options posted on forums lilke 1. Delete browser 2 in service books, 2.
Change network settings to manual, 3. Updated to official service provider OS 6 software, 4. Wiped my device to default settings, 5. Deleted all Apps to free up maximum memory and nothing has worked. The problem still persist and it's really frustrating.
Please assist me in rectifying this situation. Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card MemoryApplication Memory - This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory.
You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here.there is no option.Device Memory - This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.SD/Media Card Memory - This is what it says.your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support.see this KB: KB05461MicroSD card sizes supported by the BlackBerry device software On some devices/OS levels, you can only see 'File Free' (Options Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory.
On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options Memory). Here are some guidelines to use: KB02843What is the Low Memory Manager feature on the BlackBerry smartphone KB14320How to maximize free space and battery power on the BlackBerry smartphone KB14213Call logs, SMS text messages, and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this - those leave it to the app to decide what to do.and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select 'Close' or 'Exit'.that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically - BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages).but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser.if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot - 5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such.with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure.some as frequently as once per day.
Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.Best! Heffymx wrote:I only upgraded because there was an update avaliable. As for not being able to downgrade is because I can't do it on my torch I go to the menu and it is not an option I'd be wary of OS upgrades, especially major upgrades (e.g.
3.1 to 4.0 or 4.3 to 5.0) - unless you really need to update your phone sometimes the first release of an upgraded OS can have bugs etc, I'd wait a while for either the OS to be proven and no one complain about it or wait for a second or third release. As I say, unless you have a compelling reason to change your device OS I'd leave it alone.
As for downgrading you cant simply do thsi from your device. Neither can you simply do it from Blackberry Desktop Manager. The apploader tool Loader.exe that comes with Blackberry Desktop manager will do it. You'll need to download the older OS for your phone and install it. You can find instructions for using loader.exe on Blackberry website -iPhone for fun, Blackberry for Work.I'm not looking for Kudos but if my post helped then give me the Kudos and maybe it will help others.

I have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months. While downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. It has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried!
The white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. I've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it! Could anyone be of assisstance and help me out in this matter please? Well, that also happend to my torch 9800. What I did is that I download an application loader then try connecting my fone. I know that it is not possible that application loader can connect to you bb unless it was turned on. But this need timing ang another BB device to make this possible.1.
Connect your BB fone on a computer or laptop2. Launched application loader if you see your pin I'd on ur application loader try click next.3. Wait for the process til number 3. Then the meter will stop before half of the meter or til half of it.4.
Get your other Blackberry device that working and turned on or you can just barrow from a friend. Then unplugged your bb device that is connected to your pc/ laptop.
Then immediately connect the other BB device then if it is done correctly the meter should then be start moving. And load the OS and applications.5. The OS and application that will load on your application loader is from your device that having a problem with 'application error reset' now unplugged the device and connect again you bb device having a problem.6. When connected. Uncheck for the application that you think made this happen to your device. If your not sure then you should delete all your optional applications installed.7.
When done, click next. Till application loader do the process of removing those installed appication on your bb.8. Your device will reboot by itself after the deleting of application is done by your application loader.9 if done correctly, when your device rebooted you'll now be able to see your home screen and now you are good to go and use again you BB device.Hope this would help you. My husband has the Torch and swears by it, but I have had a small simple phone for a long time and I am really drawn to the huge screen and nice camera on the Inspire. Although, I am an avid FACEBOOKer and want to know what your experience with posting photos and videos and things like that with it. It is really simple and easy for my husband on his Torch, but wonder how easy it is on the Inspire. And also, I like have an actual keyboard with buttons for the texting portion of the phone, so that is why I lean towards the Torch. I dont necessarily like the all touch thing. I need some serious recommendations here. There are many places that offer unlocking, choose one that is reputable and contact them if you have a few failed attempts as you only get ten tries and is forever locked to carrier unless sent to RIM which will cost a lot to fix.
